An information-sharing session was held by SAPS members from different components and sections today, 24 April 2021 at Mntuntloni rural area.

The objective behind this initiative was to educate the traditional rural community of Mntuntloni who are located very far from the suburbs. Because of this demarcation people of this community are somehow disadvantaged to information and new developments in government policies including the good work done by SAPS and frontline services rendered by the South African Police Service to the larger community.

During the engagement the following crime topics were on top of the agenda:
- Sexual Offences
- Forced child marriages and abduction
- Contravention of Covid-19 Disaster Management Regulations
- Sexual Harrasment

Members representing Men for Change and Ngcobo Sector Manager, Sgt Vava also led engagements pertaining to Stock Theft, Gender Based Violence, Substance abuse and Initiation Schools and Traditions.

The rural community was also encouraged to use modern technology available to them such as cellphones to report crimininal activities taking place around them to the police for further investigation. Crime stop contact telephone numbers were shared with the community.

The information shared by the police was well received and welcomed by the royal house of Amaqhinebe and the community at large. This session was also endorsed by the CPF leadership present.
