Taxi rollover leaves one dead, ten injured in Nasrec

One person was killed and ten others injured when a taxi rolled on the N17 in Nasrec this morning.
ER24 paramedics and several other services arrived on the scene at 08h30 to find the taxi lying on its side in the emergency lane. One person was found lying trapped underneath the taxi, while several others were found seated on the side of the road.
Medics quickly assessed the patients and found that the man trapped beneath the taxi had already succumbed to his multiple injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and they were declared dead. The ten other patients were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported by various services to nearby hospitals for further care.
