Patient airlifted after fall from horse in Underberg

At 11:00 am, #UEMS was called for a person who’d fallen off a horse at a local B&B on the Drak Gardens Road.
On arrival, #UEMS paramedics found a 34-year-old female who’d fallen off a horse while on an outride with her family and sustained a serious injury to her lower leg.
Due to the nature of her injury, Netcare911 Helicopter was called. The patient was handed over in a stable condition to Netcare911 crews and flown to a Pietermaritzburg Hospital for further specialized care.
