Pedestrian killed in a collision on the N1, Bloemfontein

A pedestrian believed to be a Lesotho national was killed late yesterday evening after being hit by a light motor vehicle on the N1 north close to Engen 1-Stop outside Bloemfontein.
Paramedics & first-responders from various services arrived on the scene to find the lifeless body of the man in the roadway. He was assessed and declared deceased on the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was also assessed by paramedics and found not to have sustained any injuries. Scene handed over to SAPS for further investigation.
