Medical assistance hindered for a critical patient as delivery motorcyclists consistently interrupt medics on the R102 in Phoenix

KZNVIP Medics responded to reports of a bike vs bakkie collision on the R102 Whitehouse Intersection in Phoenix, upon arrival a biker sustained serious injuries and needed urgent stabilization.

Whilst Medics were treating the patient more delivery bikes arrived from all different service providers and began continuously interrupting the Medics.

A medic was trying to take the stretcher out of the ambulance to Load the patient and a biker refused to move to allow space for the medic to proceed.

The biker who works at a well-known fast food chicken outlet in White House Shopping Centre Became violent towards to medic.

The conduct was reported to the management of the store as the driver seemed to be intoxicated

Eventually, the biker was transported to a nearby medical facility.

Medics are requesting Saps or Metro intervention during these types of accidents to assist as this is not the first time Medics have had difficulty with treating a patient at a bike collision
