One person killed and two seriously injured in a collision between a truck and vehicle on the N2 in Ballito

A short while ago IPSS Medical Rescue received reports truck and vehicle collision on the N2 between Ballito and Shakas Rock.
On arrival of paramedics it was established that a truck and a bakkie had collided. Sadly, the driver of the bakkie sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene.
The two occupants of the truck were found to have sustained serious injuries.
One of the occupants was stabilised by an IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedic before being transported to an appropriate facility for further care.
The second occupant of the truck was treated and transported by another service.
Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
The cause of the accident will form part of a police investigation.

VR Medical responded to a serious vehicle collision involving a vehicle that had collided with a tree in Rose Avenue.
