Residential house fire reported in Universitas, Bloemfontein

Emergency services received a call of a residential house on fire in Universitas, Bloemfontein early yesterday evening.
It was found that a thatch-roof lapa started burning around the fireplace chimney.
Members of MMM Fire & Rescue Services acted swiftly by removing and extinguishing the burning grass from the structure and minimizing damage to a minimum.
No further damage was sustained to the property and no one was injured during the incident.
