Good samaritan critically injured while changing tyre in Mt. Edgecombe

A Good Samaritan assisting a motorist to change a tyre was critically injured after a vehicle collided into him on Hillhead Drive in Mt. Edgecombe - KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene and discovered a man being treated by Paramedics from a private ambulance service.
It was established that the male was assisting the driver of a white VW Golf 7 to change his tyre when a white Toyota Corolla collided into him. The man was pinned against the VW Golf.
The driver of the white Toyota Corolla abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene.
The injured male was expedited to hospital by ambulance.
Three other people who were also assisting with the tyre changed sustained minor injuries.
