Collaboration between members of the Gauteng Traffic Police Saturation Unit, CPS Security, JMPD TRU, Moffatview SAPS, Repear Tactical, and Tracker led to the recovery of a stolen VW Polo and the arrest of a suspect believed to be part of a vehicle theft syndicate.

The joint team received intelligence about a Polo that had been stolen in the Wadeville area. The vehicle was tracked traveling along the N12 highway. Officers intercepted the suspect driving the stolen vehicle.

In an attempt to evade arrest, the suspect fled on foot but was swiftly apprehended.

Investigations revealed that the suspect is linked to several vehicle theft cases and is believed to be a member of a syndicate that targets residential complexes and estates.
