N3 Toll Route | Traffic Advisory | Freedom Day long weekend

25 April 2025 | From Arrive Alive

Friday, 25 April 2025 — N3TC and its road incident management system (RIMS) partners are ready for an expected increase in southbound traffic volumes (towards Kwazulu-Natal) from approximately midday today. Conditions along the route are currently cloudy and traffic is flowing freely.

Road users are, however, reminded to always be prepared for sudden changes in route and weather conditions which could impact the flow of traffic, and cause congestion and delays, especially during peak traffic periods.

“Always allow for unforeseen circumstances when planning your road trip. Passengers can support drivers by being an extra pair of eyes, helping to monitor their surroundings, and anticipate dangerous situations,” says Thania Dhoogra, chief operating officer of N3TC, the company managing the 415km N3 Toll Route between Cedara in KwaZulu-Natal and Heidelberg in Gauteng. “Road users can stay informed of real-time road and traffic conditions on the N3 Toll Route by following @n3route on X.

In addition, please contact the 24-hour N3 Helpline on 0800 63 43 57 to report problems or request emergency assistance.”

ENDS.
