Another recovery of high-value vehicles, top-of-the-range bakkies, by the South African National Defence Force members deployed in Limpopo. Talk of value for money in terms of the South African National Defence Force members deployed on our borders.

Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo and 1 South African Tank Regiment members, in particular, were busy conducting a foot patrol along the South Africa/Zimbabwe border on 15th April 2026 at 0:15, when they confiscated a Ford Ranger Raptor valued at R939,000.00. The Ford Ranger Raptor was reportedly purchased using fake documents in Rustenburg, North West Province. On the Eastern side of Beitbridge Point of Entry, their counterparts confiscated a Ford Ranger XLT double cab, 2024 Model, valued at R655 000.00. Both vehicles were handed over to Musina Police Station for further processing.

The Officer Commanding Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo, Colonel Dikgabane Herold Tladi, commended the members in a telephone conversation with the Officer Commanding 1 South African Tank Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Lungile Frans.
