IPSS Medical Rescue responded to reports of a missing motorist after family members were alerted by a vehicle tracking system that the vehicle had been stationary for an unusual period and had not arrived home from work.
Upon investigation, responders located the vehicle more than 100 metres off the roadway. The vehicle had apparently left the road and rolled multiple times before coming to rest deep within the bush.
Initial assessments found no occupants inside or around the vehicle, prompting an extensive search of the surrounding area. It had been reported that the driver was alone at the time of the incident.
After a coordinated search, the missing driver was located approximately 60 metres from the vehicle. Sadly, he was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene.
Our sincere condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time.
