Drug-dealing suspect arrested at Bellville and Ravensmead

Members of Operation Prosper conducted searches at identified premises in Bellville in the Western Cape on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, and arrested suspects for the possession of drugs.
In Marits Street, the members searched a premises and found 100 bundles of Khat in the house. They arrested a 28-year-old male for the possession of drugs.
The members searched a premises in Voortrekker Road and arrested a 37-year-old male when they found 25 bundles of Khat.
In an unrelated matter, members of Operation Prosper conducted stop and search operations in Ravensmead when they received information of drugs at a premises. They followed up the information and searched the premises in 40th Avenue in Eurika Estate where they found 291 dagga cigarettes, two parcels of dagga and an undisclosed amount of cash. They arrested a 28-year-old male for dealing in dagga.
Once charged, the suspects will make their respective court appearances in the Bellville and Goodwood Magistrates’ Courts.
