Multiple people sustained injuries following a serious head on collision on Osindisweni Main Road in the Verulam area on Thursday morning.

KZN VIP Medical teams were dispatched after the Control Centre received requests for urgent assistance from passing motorists.

Upon arrival, medics established that a taxi and a truck had collided head on, leaving multiple commuters injured. Due to the severity of the injuries sustained, KZN VIP Advanced Life Support medics were also dispatched to the scene.

All patients were carefully triaged and stabilised before being transported to appropriate medical facilities for the further treatment they required.

The circumstances leading up to the collision cannot be confirmed at this stage. All relevant emergency services were in attendance.
