Last night at 21:30, Titanium Securitas Tactical Reaction Team members received an alert via a internal operational WhatsApp group after the Titanium Securitas Guarding division requested urgent assistance with an altercation near a shopping centre where our Guarding Security Officers are deployed 24/7.
The Titanium Securitas Guarding Officers reported that two individuals were involved in a heated altercation close to the premises of our client’s shopping centre.
The Titanium Securitas Tactical Reaction Team and Crime Prevention Unit immediately responded to assist.
Upon arrival, a female ran towards the first TRT member on scene. She was visibly distressed, screaming and covered in blood.
The female informed our team that she had allegedly been stabbed by her boyfriend following an argument. She was immediately assessed, and the wound appeared to be deep and required urgent medical attention.
The Titanium Securitas Crime Prevention Unit members attended to the injured female and assisted with the wound, while the TRT member located and detained the alleged suspect.
Durbanville SAPS and Emergency Services were contacted and requested to attend the scene.
Durbanville SAPS subsequently arrived, and the detained suspect was handed over into their custody for further investigation and processing.
The injured female received further medical care and was transported to hospital for treatment.
This incident highlights the value of having Titanium Securitas Guarding Security Officers on site, supported by our Titanium Securitas Tactical Reaction Team and Crime Prevention Unit when urgent assistance is required.
Well done, Titanium Securitas Guarding, TRT & CPU Members!
