Safety Tip
When approaching an active emergency scene, keep a safe distance and remain aware of emergency vehicles and personnel moving in and around the area.
Keeping the area around an incident clear gives emergency personnel the space needed to safely access patients, move equipment, and carry out their duties without unnecessary obstruction. It also helps protect members of the public from potential hazards at the scene.
