Pedestrian Injured In Taxi Accident: Tongaat – KwaZulu-Natal

A female pedestrian sustained injuries to both legs after she was struck by a taxi near the corner of Gopalall Hurbans Road and the R102 in Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal, this morning (Thursday, 24/09/2026).
A member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the scene at approximately 06:10 and found the woman lying near the roadway.
The Taxi Driver stated that he was travelling towards Magwaveni - KZN when the woman attempted to cross the road from Hambanathi - KZN. He said he tried to avoid her, but she moved in the same direction as the taxi.
The taxi sustained damage to its windscreen and front end.
