Two Injured In Head-On Collision: Tongaat – KZN

Two (2) drivers were injured in a head-on collision on Gopalall Hurbans Road in Tongaat – KZN this morning (Sunday 04/10/2026).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched at approximately 05:03. Reaction Officers arrived on scene and found a silver-grey Toyota Etios and a white Ford Fiesta with extensive front-end damage.

The driver of the Toyota Etios stated that he was travelling to work when the Ford Fiesta collided with his vehicle. He alleged that the other driver was under the influence of alcohol, however this was not immediately confirmed. 

Paramedics from a private ambulance service treated the Toyota Etios driver on scene. 

The Ford Fiesta driver initially declined treatment, stating that he was uninjured.
