Pedestrian Fatally Injured: Umhlanga – KZN

A man was fatally injured after being struck by a blue Toyota Corolla Cross on the M41 in Umhlanga – KZN this afternoon (Monday 05/10/2026).
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received a call for assistance at approximately 15:40. Reaction Officers and RUSA Paramedics were dispatched to the scene.
On arrival, Officers met with the driver who stated that she was changing lanes when she noticed a man in the roadway. She attempted to brake but struck the pedestrian, who was thrown several metres.
Paramedics assessed the pedestrian and declared him deceased.
