A serious two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Rinaldo and Moreland Drive in Glen Anil on Wednesday afternoon.
KZN VIP’s emergency medical teams responded to the scene, where one of the vehicles had left the roadway and travelled down an embankment into a stream following the collision.
Two occupants were safely extricated from the vehicle and brought up to the roadway. Paramedics assessed and stabilised both patients before transporting them to a medical facility for further care.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain unconfirmed.
The roadway is obstructed, and all emergency services are in attendance. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and allow emergency personnel space to work.

UPDATE: The death toll has risen to 10, with a further five people seriously injured and requiring Advanced Life Support interventions following the accident.
