PVES members received a call regarding a pedestrian–vehicle accident involving a pedestrian who had been struck by a bus in Annlinne.
Members responded to the scene, where they found a male patient who was awake and alert but experiencing significant pain.
An initial assessment was conducted, which revealed lacerations to the patient's head and a suspected femur fracture.
PVES Members dressed the head wounds while obtaining vital signs and conducting a secondary survey.
The patient's vital signs indicated that he was stable at the time of assessment. However, given his injuries and the indications of a possible concussion, continuous monitoring was maintained while an ambulance was arranged.
While awaiting the ambulance, PVES members and Metro Police officers assisted the patient in contacting his family.
A GPG ambulance arrived shortly thereafter, and the patient was transported to hospital for further medical assessment and treatment.
