Lady critical after fall - Central Drakensberg

A short while ago IPSS Medical Rescue received a call for assistance for an elderly lady who had fallen at home earlier in the morning.
On arrival of paramedics the patient was found to have sustained a severe head injury and was in a critical condition.
The patient was stabilised on scene by IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedics. Due to the nature of her injuries the Air Mercy Services helicopter was then utilized to airlift the patient to a specialized facility for further care.
